The Insuring Good Health website and videos were created by Insure Detroit, a Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) partnership with a mission to enhance health insurance literacy and increase health care access and navigation for Detroit and metro Detroit residents.
About Us
Affiliated under the Detroit Community-Academic Urban Research Center (Detroit URC), the Insure Detroit partnership was formed in 2015 between a University of Michigan School of Public Health investigative team and eight Detroit community organizations and health agencies. Funding was provided by the National Institute for Health Care Reform.
In accordance with the principles of a community-based participatory research (CBPR) approach, both academic and community organizations within the Insure Detroit partnership were included in every aspect of the initiative, providing oversight and guidance.
